Secures ET tubes without adhesive tape

B&B LockTite is a non adhesive endotracheal tube holder similar to the StabilTube in function. The releasable Cable Tie permits ease of repositioning of the endotracheal tube.

The LockTite is intended for use with patients that cannot tolerate adhesive products. It is recommended for use with patients with facial burns, severe facial irritation, beards or long term sedated patients who are at less risk for self extubation. The LockTite is a pre-cut, non-irritating foam endotracheal tube holder that protects the upper lip and skin across the cheek area. The LockTite is latex free and made of hypo-allergenic materials with superior holding power to ensure the stability of the endotracheal tube and minimize the incidence of inadvertent extubations. The LockTite is secured around the patient’s neck with a Velcro® neck band. A Cable Tie is provided to secure placement of the endotracheal tube, allow for ease of reposition and prevent slippage of the tube.

B&B recommends the use of the B&B Universal Bite Block with the LockTite to protect the patient’s teeth and prevent the patient from biting on the endotracheal tube. The LockTite can be used in all critical care units, operating rooms, emergency departments, special care units and for transport situations.
